How big is the watch?

This is no shrinking violet, but a large, showy watch. The bezel measures 42mm across, and the dial glass 32mm across. It is larger than what used to thought of as a lady's watch, but today's fashion is big time.

Setting the time

Operation of the Jester Watch couldn't be simpler. Pulling out the crown will stop the movement, and winding it will adjust the hands. Push the crown back in to start the movement. If your watch is delivered with a small plastic crown stopper, please remove it and push the crown in to start the watch.

The battery life is expected to be at least 18 months from the date of purchase. It is a normal 377 watch battery, and should be replaced by a proper operative.

Water Resistance

Jester watches are made with cases water resistant to 5 ATM or 50M which means you can wear them swimming or bathing/showering. Watches are batch tested for water resistance and are covered by an international standard (ISO 2281:1990). 5 ATM or 50M represents the pressure at 50m depth of water - but watches are not expected to be continuously used at the prescribed depth. Water resistance also can fade and be impaired by replacing the battery (where the seal might be dislodged). 3 ATM is merely splash proof.
